It's a New Day!!

So.. I was watching It's a New Day the other day and lo and behold I heard something that made me smile.
A Torah Observant man was on the show talking about, ' The Maker's Diet' . He was telling Wilf (the host of the show) that God made pigs and shrimp to be living garbage disposals for the earth, that we were never meant to eat them.
Of course the verse is quoted by Wilf how in Acts 10 Peter saw a vision of all kinds of animals and how Peter stated, Lord I cannot eat of this, they are unclean. The Lord replied I have made them clean.
Now as I read this I thought to myself, well there it is, God made all unclean food clean. Case closed. When I actually CONTINUED reading I took note of the fact that Peter didn't come to the same conclusion as myself. What appeared so clear to me wasn't to him... WHY NOT???
Could it be that Peter knew that God couldn't contradict himself. That if God made some animals unclean then they were unclean. Let's continue... Please read Acts 10:28
"....but God has shown me that I should not call any MAN unclean."
God is the same yesturday, today and forever.

Shalom Friends, maybe it is a NEW DAY!

Ponderisms

~Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?
~Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?
~Why does your OB-GYN leave the room when you get undressed if they are going to look up there anyway?
~Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!
~If Wiley E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that Acme crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?
~If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?

Jody's Journal

Who Am I?

This is a hard question to answer. My first response is to tell you what I do. I stay at home with my 2 boys. I then want to tell you that I am married and have been for 6 years. Next I will go on to tell you what I have done with my life thus far. I have traveled overseas a fair number of times, I have had the opportunity to share my beliefs with people of all walks of life and religious background.
I Don't think I have answered my question yet. Maybe I should try to. Maybe I need to think about it more.
